Calliope is a strongly growing township located approximately 28 km from the harbour and industrial growth city of Gladstone and located 550km by road north of Brisbane and 100 km south east of Rockhampton. With the recent announcement of the Rio Tinto Yarwun Aluminum Refinery Stage 2 expansion and the announcement by Santos of a LNG plant on Curtis Island, the Calliope/Beecher area has seen a significant rise in sub-division interest.
